Fortified Counseling PLLC brings individualized care to people suffering with depression and anxiety by strengthening supports, resiliency, and promoting self-awareness. We offer a wide array of therapeutic services to meet you where you are in life and help you from there.
Individual Counseling
A private opportunity to receive support while exploring your feelings, beliefs, and behaviors. Individual counseling may comprise of numerous issues like career counseling and planning, grief over loss, or dealing with difficult relationships.
Couple’s Counseling
Whether you are forming a new life together, checking in for a check-up, or aim to improve your relationship, you can benefit from couple’s counseling. It is an effort to protect your relationship and you will work in partnership with your therapist to unlearn old ways and discover new ways to strengthen your relationship.
Adolescent Counseling
Our counselors work 1:1 to help students distinguish goals and realistic healthy solutions to problems that cause distress, leading to improved self-esteem and increased coping skills, social connectedness, and optimal mental health.
Group Therapy
Group therapy can be highly effective and often offers benefits that individual counseling doesn't provide. We offer affordable counseling and psychotherapy during evenings and/or weekends for teen girls ages 13-17 in and around the greater DFW area.
Faith-based Counseling
We understand that faith and spirituality are a huge part of self-identity. You will receive faith-based counseling techniques from a therapist who shares, or at least understands without judgment, your faith.
Premarital Counseling
We work with you to allow you to understand conflicts and why they occur, unlearn poor communication techniques and learn good ones, evaluate strengths and weaknesses in you and your partner, as well as set standards and expectations about marriage.
Guided meditation
A short meditation practice can help you calm your nerves before a big meeting or event. It can help assuage doubts and ground you into the present moment, decreasing stress and anxiety. We offer guided meditation in 15 minute increments.

There’s a long list, actually.
Psychiatrist: a medical doctor (MD) may provide therapy and medication.
Most, however, focus on medication. Psychologist: professionals who have a Ph.D. or a Psy.D. They provide counseling and special testing/assessments.
Social Worker: paraprofessionals who have an MSW and can be clinical certified (LCSW). She/he provides individual family counseling and has a special understanding of how families work.
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner: nurses who have a master’s or doctoral degree and a certification specializing in mental health issues and counseling. They can also prescribe medication.
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC): licensed therapists who have advanced training in counseling. They DO NOT prescribe medication. Their focus is “talk therapy.”
LPC-Associate or Pre-Licensed Therapist: master’s student who is working toward certification.

Our current office rate is $150 for individual sessions and $200 for couples’ sessions.
We do not accept insurance as a form of payment for couples’ sessions. All couple’s sessions are paid out of pocket. We will provide a superbill so you may submit it to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
We do offer a sliding scale fee to qualifying clients to make it more feasible to obtain therapeutic services.

Yes, we are in network with BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna/Evernorth, UHC, UMR, Optum, Aetna, Magellan, Superior Health Plan, Ambetter, Molina, Amerigroup, Humana, Oscar, Oxford, TriCare and several EAPs like Compsych, Lifeworks, and Healthsmart.

You are responsible for canceling your scheduled appointments 24 hours in advance. If your appointment is not canceled within that timeframe, there will be a cancellation fee. You will be billed directly for late cancellations or no-shows. The cancellation fee is the full price of your session.

All services are provided via Telehealth during this time. Eventually we will return face to face, though there is no set date yet.

The initial session will last around 60 minutes or so. Follow-up sessions will last anywhere from 45-50 minutes. Your insurances allows each provider 10-15 minutes to document out of the allotted 60 minutes.
